About

Built in Nairobi.
Wired for anywhere.

SpectraNode was founded by engineers who spent years shipping production infrastructure at telcos, fintechs, and cloud providers — starting in East Africa and now delivering globally. We started this company because we kept watching teams reinvent the same platform, with the same gaps, paying the same audit tax.

Principles

What we believe.

Boring infrastructure is good infrastructure

Novelty is a cost. We reach for battle-tested components before anything else, and we document the trade-offs when we don't.

Security is a property, not a checkbox

You don't bolt security onto a platform in month six. You design for it in week one — otherwise you're rebuilding, not shipping.

Observability before scale

You can't optimize what you can't see, and you can't respond to what you don't measure. Every platform we ship is instrumented on day one.

Open source, everywhere possible

Vendor lock-in is a slow leak. We pick components that keep your options open — even if it means we make less margin on licenses.

The client picks the stack

Our job is to bring the practice, the frameworks, and the scars. If you already run a stack, we adapt to it. If you're greenfield, we recommend — but the choice is yours.

Where we are

Nairobi. Remote-first. Global.

Our team is based in Nairobi, Kenya, with engineers working across time zones. We serve regulated clients globally — from African fintechs and European healthtechs to Gulf payment processors and international telcos. Good infrastructure is a discipline, not a region.

If you're building something that matters and you want engineers who'll treat your platform like their own, we'd like to hear from you.
